Cultures of Namibia

With this 21-day round trip, you will get to know the wonderfully diverse cultures of Namibia. You will travel from Windhoek to the famous dunes of the Sossusvlei, and then towards the coast to Swakopmund, where German influence is still widely present. In Damaraland you will be able to see the century old San rock art art at Twyfelfontyn and have the opportunity to visit the Damara Living Museum. In Opuwo, in the far north, you will have a special meeting with the exceptional Himba tribe who are happy to introduce you to their traditional way of life. Your journey continues past the Epupa Falls to Oshakati, where you can learn more about the lifestyles of the Ovambo people and have the opportunity to visit an Oshona (African settlement) or Ovambo Kraal. After all this it’s time to meet the animals in the famous Etosha National Park and the bordering Onguma Private Game Reserve. You will end your trip in the amazing Okonjima Lodge, from where you can visit the Africat Foundation and see the cheetah’s in action
